What is in place today, stated plainly.
Backups
- Desktop: automatic backups hourly, daily and on close
- Backup copies to another folder or to the hub are encrypted with AES-256-GCM
- Cloud hub: nightly backup of every company's database, kept off the server
- Restore drills: we restore from backup before go-live and record the result
Access and sign-in
- Passwords stored only as Argon2 hashes
- Sign-in by password or by a one-time code sent by WhatsApp or e-mail
- Roles and permissions down to each screen and action; salespeople see only their own parties
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS / TLS) between the apps and the hub
- Two-factor authentication with an authenticator app Coming soon
Your data stays yours
- Cloud hosting in India
- Each client's books in a separate database
- Download a complete copy of your data at any time
- Export to Tally XML or mirror live to your own database
- Option to run the hub on your own server
Records you can defend
- Audit trail on every voucher and master that cannot be switched off
- Edit history shows who changed what and when
- AI and automation only create drafts or tasks; a person posts
- Approval inbox for discounts, credit limits and below-cost rates
DPDP Act, 2023
TilesBooks is built so that you, as the business that collects your customers' and employees' personal data, can meet your duties under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act: a documents and KYC vault with masking of identity numbers, access logs and retention periods, and role-based access so staff see only what they need. In the cloud service we act as your data processor under the terms of your licence agreement.
